Generous pistachio filling. Natural date juice sherbet.
Plant-based baklava at its most opulent — zero compromise.
Vegan Collection
The Prince Baklava format is defined by generosity: thicker cuts, a more abundant pistachio filling, and a more generous pour of sherbet that soaks through every layer. In our vegan version, the defining addition is the date juice sherbet. Rather than conventional sugar syrup, concentrated date extract is used to sweeten the baklava — and the result is a product that is richer, deeper, and more naturally indulgent than a cane-sugar version could be. No artificial additives. No animal products. A genuinely premium plant-based baklava.

What Sets It Apart
The date juice sherbet is what elevates this product above a standard vegan baklava. Dates carry their own distinct flavour — earthy, caramel-like, with a natural complexity that refined cane sugar simply cannot provide. When poured generously over the Prince-cut baklava and allowed to soak through the layers, it creates a depth of flavour that is simultaneously rich and natural, sweet and complex.
The "Prince" cut refers to a thicker, more generously proportioned piece than standard baklava — more filling, more layers, and more sherbet in every portion. It is a format designed for those who do not want to moderate their baklava experience. Combined with the date sherbet and the stone-ground pistachio, the result is the most opulent entry in the Saytad vegan range.
This product contains no artificial additives, preservatives, colourings, or flavourings of any kind. The date sherbet is made from concentrated date extract alone. The pistachio is unsalted and unflavoured. The phyllo contains only wheat flour, water, and salt. What you taste is what is in it — nothing more, nothing less.
The Craft Behind It
The Prince Baklava is a format that has long existed in Turkish confectionery as a statement of generosity. Thicker cuts and a more abundant filling signal that this is not an everyday baklava but something made for occasions that warrant a little more. In the vegan version at Saytad, that generosity is amplified by a different kind of sweetener — one that brings its own history and flavour to the product.
Dates have been cultivated across the Middle East, North Africa, and Anatolia for thousands of years. Their concentrated natural sweetness has served as a sweetener in the region's cuisines long before refined sugar existed. Using date juice sherbet in this baklava is not a modern health-food trend but a connection to an older, less processed way of making sweet things — and the flavour reflects that: deeper, warmer, and more complex than cane sugar syrup.
Stone-ground Gaziantep pistachios are layered within hand-stretched phyllo, with cold-pressed vegetable oil applied between each sheet. After baking to a golden colour, the date juice sherbet is poured generously — more generously than in a standard baklava, because the Prince format demands it. The result is a product that is, in every legitimate sense, a premium baklava — and entirely plant-based.
